The Servicepoint for Intercultural Competence (SIK) welcomes international students in Germany. We support international students to find their way through their studies. We contribute to students’ success and we propose activities to develop strong ties with their host country. We hope to make Germany a more attractive place to study. With a broad information, counselling and training program, we address student counsellors and tutors for international students in student service organisations and in higher education institutions nationwide. In addition to on-campus integration, the Servicepoint advocates for international students’ interests in the political arena. SIK was founded in 2002 and is based at the German National Association for Student Affairs (DSW), the umbrella organization of the 57 student services organizations (STW) in Germany. It is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
